Need Help Understanding the World of Education?

Stephanie Frumkin has over 25 years of experience in education and is here to support you and your child.

Meet Your Educational Consultant

I have enjoyed over 25 years of experience in the field of education, teaching in Maryland public schools, private schools, homeschool co-ops, international schools, and community colleges.

I have also worked as a summer camp director, a non-profit education program administrator, and a homeschool umbrella group coordinator. This broad experience helps me think outside of the box for educational solutions, including non-traditional placements.

As both an educator and a parent of a gifted child with learning differences (2e), I can educate families about the ins and outs of schools and best practices in education. I also understand first-hand the stress of watching your child struggle with a poor educational fit.

After exploring traditional schools and alternative learning environments for my own "out-of-the-box” learners, I decided on the path of homeschooling for four years. Then, my children found good-fit public and private schools for the remainder of their education.

When I finally saw my children thriving in their educational environments, I wanted to help other parents find and sustain learning environments tailored to their child’s unique needs.

Our Mission

To provide compassionate, expert educational advice and services to parents of bright children with learning differences in the D.C. metro area. Our specialty is helping twice-exceptional students find a place to belong.

Your student doesn’t need to fit into the mold of traditional education. Instead, let’s find or create an option that fits them! With a vast background in both traditional and alternative education, we can guide you through the process of finding an educational situation where your child will thrive.

We Serve

We love complex kids and their families! If you are struggling with clarity about your child's education, we are here to help.

We serve bright and gifted students who have diverse learning needs. These out-of-the-box learners are rising Kindergarteners through 12th graders who need more support at their current school or a different placement to succeed.

We enjoy students who have many strengths and talents as well as challenges, including ADHD, autism, anxiety, specific learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia), mood disorders, sensory or auditory processing disorder, behavioral challenges, and more.

Your child does not need to have a specific diagnosis or be designated gifted for us to work together; however. If they are bright, curious, and struggling in school, we’d love to help.

We specialize in helping an often misunderstood population: twice-exceptional (2e) learners.
